About KFMC
I started this work because I’ve seen how easy it is for people to get overwhelmed by complexity—whether it’s a conflict that’s dragging on, a decision no one wants to make, or a conversation everyone’s avoiding. What I’ve learned is that most “stuck” situations aren’t just about one big issue—they’re a tangle of competing priorities, unspoken tensions, and unclear direction.
KFMC exists to help people untangle those knots. To break down what feels overwhelming into manageable, addressable pieces. Using the mediative mindset to create space for honest reflection, clearer thinking, and practical next steps. Whether I’m working with individuals, partnerships, or teams, the goal is always the same: help people find movement, clarity, and a way forward that works.
About Jasen
With a wide-ranging background in law and mediation, family business operations, and distressed asset management, I bring a unique blend of expertise and relevant lived experience to my mediative consulting and facilitation work. I specialize in navigating complex interpersonal dynamics in the context of everything from partnerships, intergenerational succession, diverging interests among family business members and owner vs. operator, to resolving tenant disputes and navigating business distress.
As a lawyer, I sharpened my analytical skills and ability to handle high-pressure, cross-border negotiations. As Managing Director of my family’s business, I honed my understanding of effective leadership in the face of various organizational challenges and opportunities. As a commercial property manager, I learned how to attune to the needs of different stakeholders — tenants, partners, and clients — to arrive at solutions that balance competing priorities and ultimately work for everyone involved. I have also facilitated leadership development programs, chaired strategic planning committees, and contributed to the growth of professional organizations like the Industrial Auctioneers Association and the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers.
All of this experience has positioned me for the work I love most: working intimately with people to understand their unique familial, interpersonal, and even inner conflicts and sharing mediative tools that allow them to successfully tackle big challenges and important decisions with greater clarity, confidence, and ease.
